Most Interesting Upcoming Next-Gen Titles [6/16/2020]
We are now officially heading into the next generation of console gaming. Alongside the already apparent and impressive Nintendo Switch system, we’ll soon be getting our hands on the new Xbox Series X as well as the Playstation 5.
Memes aside, these new consoles are easily the most striking and most daring yet with both their physical appearances and their inner workings. But as gamers overall we’ve always cared less about the box and more about the games themselves. So which upcoming games should we look forward to? Which ones impress us here at GeekBeerz the most?
What we have hear is our personal list to help you keep up to date on what will likely be the most impressive games to release in the future of gaming! Read the rest of this entry
GeekBeerz Podcast Will Go On A Mini Hiatus In March, Shambles And Rambles Will Still Be Here…
Hello everyone. things have been slow the past few months in terms of posts with actual content, although our podcasts have been launching off quite well. We wanted to let everyone know ahead of time what’s going to be happening within the month of march since this will be an interesting month for us.
The GeekBeerz Podcast will be on a mini hiatus during the entire month of March, this is due to one of us having to deal with another move. The fortunate outcome of this is that once the podcast returns it will definitely be in better audio quality and far easier to schedule consistently.
episode four of the podcast will release by Monday as planned, but episode five onwards will have to wait until April.
meanwhile the other podcast, Shambles and Rambles, will continue as per usual with perhaps an increase in episodes during the month of March.

Outlandish Opinions: Types Of Movies That Critics Should NEVER Review
Hello there, I’m back with another random post, but it’s one that has been bugging me for some time actually.
So with the upcoming release of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which is a sequel to 2014’s Godzilla American reboot film, I was thinking of many ideas for posts to write in regards to celebrating the release of what will assuredly be a highly entertaining film. But then I started to think about the obvious variations of critic reviews that this next movie might receive and it ultimately left me in a sigh.
Now granted I could be very surprised and this film can receive massive praise, but that rarely happens with a movie of this type of caliber. So I figured I would lend my opinion out there, no matter how stupid it may seem, and hopefully somebody will agree with me… Read the rest of this entry
Happy New Year! – Update
Hello everyone! It has been far too long. There is no avoiding the obvious subject of discussion, we have been pretty quiet for some time and have failed to complete our Soulsborne month in September.
Things got crazy busy, more than usual, and as a result we’ve had to drop what we’ve wanted to do for this site in order to deal with these situations. For those who were even a little bit interested in the Soulsborne posts, we apologize.
For myself, this was the hardest semester of college classes I have ever done. My complete focus had to be on getting these classes completed. Sherman was trapped in a devastating job with ridiculous hours which affected timing for doing pretty much anything social (thankfully, he has found a better job since then). Josh has been prepping for a mission, and will be leaving us for the two year adventure in March. We hope to do some things with him before he leaves. And our very own Geoff has gotten married, and ever since then he has been busy searching for a new home with his better half.
And as for Taylor? Well, he’s still doing Taylor stuff!
Joking aside, he has been busy as well which has tarnished our revival of Taylor/Tom Games Or Die, but perhaps we will see it return soon.
the year of 2018 has certainly been a painful and aching year for most of us, but we hope to make proper use of the new year ahead of us! Geeks In A Dungeon is still gonna come out with new episodes in the near future, you can think of the new episodes as the start of “season two” in a sense. The video adaptation of the series is still being worked on, the obvious delay kind of shelved it but thankfully there should now be more time given to getting it done. We have also been working shopping how the revival of GBP is going to be done. We are currently in the process of deciding what segments, music, and what new location we’ll be using that will be beneficial and convenient to all of us.
Thanks for reading if you did, and we hope you continue the journey with us into the new year…

God Of War [PS4] – My Impressions + Minor Update (No Spoils)
Welcome to yet another impression, and this time it’s with a game that has been dominating the review front as of late.
I have spent a little over a week on this game and have finally beaten it. Taylor has also beaten it so I’ll be adding a few comments and impressions from him in this post as well. There will also be no spoilers in the game since I feel as though spoiling would absolutely ruin this game for anyone new or old to the series. So is Kratos a better character now? Is God Of War still relevant to our modern day? Let’s find out…
Updates! – “2017 Games Completed Podcast Special” Coming Soon, GBP: GeekBeerz Podcast Returning Soon-ish, Geeks In A Dungeon On A Mini Hiatus, “WHOSWWBM” Coming 2018, and Fantasy Gorilla Coming Out Mid To Late 2018…
Hey whoever reads this! If you have been keeping up with the site, you will have noticed that nothing has happened since Christmas. Well that’s because we took the seasonal few weeks off to spend time with family and other loved ones for both Christmas and New Years, basically vacation time for the guys here. But the other complication was life getting in the way! I had to begin a new semester of classes, Taylor had to get surgery #498, and Geoff and Shrew are very busy with their own jobs. But we’d figured that we should at least give an update on everything planned and allow whoever visits our site to see what to expect in the year 2018…
Podcast Special – “GBP: Our 2017 Completed Games Lists” – We have recorded a special episode regarding our games of 2017 we completed, as well as our thoughts on said games, we also joke about nonsense and explain how our lives have been. Expect this to be one of the first things to come out very soon, assuming Geoff edits and finishes this in a quickened pace, I will also be providing a video version of this special!
“GBP: GeekBeerz Podcast” – Our main and returning podcast is assured to be heading your way soon, technically we have three to four episodes completed but there releases are uncertain since, again, we are living busy lives.
“Geeks In A Dungeon” – We hope you have enjoyed the recently available episodes! But anyone who has been keeping up will notice the releases of these episodes (which was every late Sunday or so) has suddenly stopped. This was both due to the holidays as well as other inconveniences such as major editing time needed and not being able to recording newer episodes to keep the pace going. But we’re certain that Shrew is planning things out as we speak, and the adventures will continue in no time!
“We Hate Ourselves, So We Watch BAD Movies” – This is a new series we hopes to release as soon as possible, this is where we record our experience and distaste towards universally despised films. This is not really a “riff” so much as it is audio commentary with pointless conversations. Why do we do this? Well sometimes we just really hate ourselves that much! Expect this to come out hopefully soon!
“The Fantasy Gorilla” – This spin-off will have to take some time to do, there is a particular planned segment in it that requires more reworking and planning. We hope to expect this to release by Summer of 2018.
Other than that, we hope to make more fun posts soon, including top lists and editorials of a number of things. Also expect future impressions on 2018 releases of games and movies such as Black Panther, Monster Hunter: World, and even the remastered Shadow of the Colossus. Keep up with the site and we’ll see you back here soon…
Pokemon Sun And Moon: Final Impressions (I Did It!)
I knew I had to get this out before the new Ultra Sun and Moon editions came to stores, but I finally had time to finish up my copy of Moon! Yeah I know it took longer than usual for as simple a game as Pokemon, but to be fair I live a pretty busy life nowadays. So this is my third and final entry for my impressions towards the first set of seventh generation games. This entry will be more review-ish as I decide where these games settle among the other titles in the franchise. I hope you enjoy this impression… Read the rest of this entry
Pokemon Sun and Moon: Secondary Impressions (finally)
JEEZ! This has been disgustingly delayed! Not just the secondary part of my impression of the Pokemon Moon game, but also since I’ve picked up the game itself. Unfortunately other things got in the way including college, family, friends, alternative commitments and even other/newer games. This also goes with the factoid that I usually only play handheld games when I’m traveling to far locations, leaving me with hours of valuable playing time for my handheld devices. Fortunately that was the case as of the past couple months. I believe I have played just enough more to properly do a part two to my three part impression for Pokemon Moon (the newest generation of games overall). I promise part three won’t be as prolonged.
You can read or re-read the first part of the Impression by clicking THIS!
Anyways, on to the Secondary Impression… Read the rest of this entry
