Tagcast News Will Be Returning! + Geeks In A Dungeon Update!

Geeks in a Dungeon cover two

Hello everyone! Just another quick update on some things moving forward. Once again I would like to remind everybody that we’re still very much occupied with life and what comes with it, however a few things are happening sooner than we thought. This even includes the majority vote decision of bringing back Tagcast news!

For those who are unaware or don’t remember, Tagcast News was an off-brand of our second incarnation Podcast series that mainly focused on gaming news. Geoff and Sherman were the primary hosts, while I appeared once or twice. It was a Skype communicated series that was later, immediately at times, put on our Youtube channel each and every Sunday night. News from the prior week was compiled together and we picked out the most interesting or relevant ones. It was halted indefinitely due to issues of timing and interest in discussions.

The newly returned Tagcast news series will pretty much be the same as far as I’m aware. It will once again have Sherman and Geoff as hosts with possibly me and other random guests. Not sure when this will happen proper, but I’ll certainly need to find my webcam soon!

In other news, there is some Geeks in a Dungeon information worth telling!

geeky dungeon 2019

Geeks in a Dungeon is still very much returning in a rebooted series that still features the same characters and lore that has been previously mentioned before.

  • Sherman will return as the Tiefling “Havoc”, as well as the Dungeon Master
  • Geoff is back as the wolf-raised Dragonborn, “Thandarr Balumhet”
  • I’ll be back as the Dragonborn “Cordak Lacerta”
  • And Taylor is back as the third Dragonborn mage named “Romulus Blackfire”
  • Unfortunately Josh is no longer here to play his Halfling character, “Theivey Mcthiefface”, but that character will likely return in time once Josh returns in a couple years.
  • It’s also possible that other known characters will return as well, either as cameos or still prevalent players.

The original recordings are now considered the “OVA” series meant to act like an alternate universe (this may even come into play with the core series in the future…).

In fact, there is still some episodes of the OVA series that haven’t been released yet. And as far as I’m aware Sherman still plans on releasing these final few OVA episodes. If my memory serves me right, there is at least three more episodes left to release that even includes a sixth player that hasn’t been in the already released episodes! Hopefully Sherman can finish editing these faster so that everyone can enjoy them!

The new series on the other hand will be reintroduced when it finally starts to come out, this includes a new cover art and other promotional things. There is even plans to make alongside the core series an episodic issue comic as well as video formats of the Geeks in a Dungeon audio, speaking of which…

The previously mentioned video that I was working on will eventually be released, sorry for the forever delay. I honestly thought I accidentally lost it again but have once again found it and plan on working on it yet again. At this point though it may be worth mentioning that this will be the only video of its kind as of now.

The video has been in production for a long time, and it’s a revision of the first episode of the now OVA series, so I’ll probably not make the other episodes in a similar matter… At least not entire episodes. The new series associated episodes will be in a completely different manner and have no real similarity to the OVA one.

Again, this will begin as soon as Sherman is able to finalize both his lore and episodic events. And we must also wait for when the four of us are available to get together at a convenient time.

Until next time readers…

Geeks In A Dungeon Might Get A Soft Reboot…

Geeks in a Dungeon

Hey guys. So it’s no secret that Geeks In A Dungeon has been on a halt for quite some time, but there is good reason for it.

While there are still a good number of episodes to release, the last we left off the series we actually had six players involved. Unfortunately on top of getting every person back to record, which is already a challenging thing, there have been life-involved moments that have drastically changed the course for most of us.

As mentioned in a prior post, Josh has left us for two years to serve a church mission. Josh played the character Thievy in our adventure and became a primary protagonist, which makes it hard to continue without him. Our other player has also left on a mission some time way before Josh left, he played a character that has not yet released in the currently available episodes but he too played an important role. Aside from absent members, we have all been busy with things such as jobs, marriage, and other important duties.

Now of course I am not the driving force for Geeks In A Dungeon, that would be our very own Sherman. He too has had some time consuming duties that have resulted in both the delay of continuing this series and even editing currently recorded material. To top it all off, his computer was recently having some problems. As of now it has been fixed but it’s still worth noting.

Now Sherman has that driving desire to keep on making Geeks In A Dungeon going, but he too has recognized the complex situation of continuing where we left off. So it is possible that a soft reboot will be in the works soon.

If this happens, we will keep our same characters and our same personalities and traits, but the adventure would restart from scratch and perhaps even be revised or revamped, depending on how Sherman goes on handling it. Despite people like Josh being absent, his character may still appear in an integral role in the story in some way, although that’s not entirely certain.

Now the prior episodes will most likely continue to be available, but will probably be alternately titled as “separate timeline” adventures or as pilot tests, think simple OVA’s for an anime that is similar but not as defined in context or as long as the main anime series.

When will this happen? Who knows. It’s entirely up to Sherman to determine that and to get us all back together for more grand adventures! I’m just here to give an update on the situation.

Thanks for reading!

Happy New Year! – Update

GBlogo

Hello everyone! It has been far too long. There is no avoiding the obvious subject of discussion, we have been pretty quiet for some time and have failed to complete our Soulsborne month in September.

Things got crazy busy, more than usual, and as a result we’ve had to drop what we’ve wanted to do for this site in order to deal with these situations. For those who were even a little bit interested in the Soulsborne posts, we apologize.

For myself, this was the hardest semester of college classes I have ever done. My complete focus had to be on getting these classes completed. Sherman was trapped in a devastating job with ridiculous hours which affected timing for doing pretty much anything social (thankfully, he has found a better job since then). Josh has been prepping for a mission, and will be leaving us for the two year adventure in March. We hope to do some things with him before he leaves. And our very own Geoff has gotten married, and ever since then he has been busy searching for a new home with his better half.

And as for Taylor? Well, he’s still doing Taylor stuff!

Joking aside, he has been busy as well which has tarnished our revival of Taylor/Tom Games Or Die, but perhaps we will see it return soon.

the year of 2018 has certainly been a painful and aching year for most of us, but we hope to make proper use of the new year ahead of us! Geeks In A Dungeon is still gonna come out with new episodes in the near future, you can think of the new episodes as the start of “season two” in a sense. The video adaptation of the series is still being worked on, the obvious delay kind of shelved it but thankfully there should now be more time given to getting it done. We have also been working shopping how the revival of GBP is going to be done. We are currently in the process of deciding what segments, music, and what new location we’ll be using that will be beneficial and convenient to all of us.

Thanks for reading if you did, and we hope you continue the journey with us into the new year…

“Taylor Games Or Die” Gets A Semi-New Title On Twitch + Stream Announcement!

maxresdefault

Hello everyone! First off I want to announce that tonight we’ll be streaming “A Way Out” on our twitch channel! At the time of this post going live, it’ll be happening within the next hour or so. We’ll most likely be streaming this game for the next few weeks to come.

Another announcement is that the title of our twitch channel has also gotten a change in name, albeit slightly. Instead of just being called “Taylor Games Or Die” (or “taylorgamesordie” as it is technically written on twitch) will now be known as “Taylor Tom Games Or Die” (taylortomgamesordie). This is done for the fact that, in the future, there may be individual “solo” streams from either myself or Taylor. Of course we’ll still be together to play the bigger or more ridiculous titles, but perhaps there will be days where Taylor will want to play a session of Fortnite or perhaps I will want to play an hour of Warframe.

This is also to keep the initials of “TGOD”, which we very much like!

Anyways we hope our stream will be watched, if not that’s cool too. At the very least we’ll finally be able to play this game!

Anyways it’s your life, have fun…

“Taylor Games Or Die” Returns From The Grave Soon, What Should You Expect?

TGOD cover man.png

Hello everyone! And welcome to a very unsurprising announcement by us. While we are still in that moment of both adjusting and redoing our usual activities here, Taylor and myself thought it best to re-reveal that “TGOD”, which normally means “Taylor Games Or Die” and sometimes “Tom Games Or Die”, is still very much a thing. We even made an announcement video, which you can also view on our youtube channel HERE.

Sure, our twitch channel (which you can view by clicking HERE) has been dead-ish for a while, and we’ve all been busy with the sinister pressures of normal life getting in the way, but we have decided to bring this back and, hopefully, create a consistent schedule. We will also be making sure that we deliver the best possible quality for each video as possible, we’ll probably even stream directly on our youtube channel too at times.

But what kind of games will we be playing? Well our choices will range from playing either the most popular thing, the most interesting or unique things, and occasionally the most garbage thing. But here are just some of the ideas that we have coming up so far:

  • Tay & Tom Find A Way Out (a playthrough of the game “A Way Out”)

This will likely be a series split into parts or segments, we both co-bought this together and have planned this playthrough for quite a while now. This might actually be our first legit recording we do.

  • Tom’s Infamy (a playthrough of the “Season of Infamy” segments of “Batman: Arkham Knight”)

Taylor has given me some crap for not playing these add-on story segments of the third Rocksteady Arkham games, and what better way to do it then to stream it all?

  • Taylor Versus VR (random games on Playstation VR)

Taylor spent money on a Playstation VR, Tom has quite a number of VR oriented games for Taylor to play, what a perfect set up!

Well that’s just some of the stuff planned. Be sure to check back regularly for any upcoming content or uploads. Geeks In A Dungeon is still getting episodes and the video version of the first episode is still getting worked on and will be out soon. Also, an upcoming series known as “We Hate Ourselves, So We Watch Bad Movies” is still releasing hopefully soon.

You can also visit the Taylor Games Or Die twitch channel to view previous streams…

Me Versus The Many Projects – Progress Report

cooltext273156098856882

Hello again, and once more I am here to update you all on what has been going down. Surprise! The Geeks In A Dungeon vid is still being worked on and heavily edited. It might take a couple more weeks before it is officially released, but I promise that it’ll be worth it.

Because I am overbooked with many projects to get done, both for college and freelancing, I am forced to turn all my attention on those things as opposed to the video due to those projects having legitimate deadlines. I hope any waiting can understand the predicament.

I the meantime, there should be a God Of War related post up soon, possibly something involving our lead up to the Avengers Infinity War film, and hopefully a second Ultimate Hate (and Love) relationship editorial. You can read the first one, which is about Transformers, HERE.

Well, until the next whatever…

Video Nearly There Mates – Progress Report

cropped-cooltext273156098856882.png

Hello guys, everything is just fine and dandy here. I’m sure most of us want to pluck our brains out and droop to the floor and forget the tension and stress, but other than that we’re pretty good.

Joking aside, we are all relatively busy with our own separate predicaments. Geoff is busy at work and stuff, Sherman hates his job and is overly working, Taylor broke himself yet again, and I’m in the process of trying to finish multiple art projects. So yeah, I guess all you get in this post is more and more explanations and excuses with little to no substance.

Do not fret though, the Geeks In A Dungeon video is still gonna happen and I’m sure some sort of episode of something will release in no time (we’ll see who’s the faster editor soon enough).

Welp, until next post…

Geeks In A Dungeon Video Series Half Way Done – Progress Report

cooltext273156098856882

Hello everyone, I figured I would give some sort of update. This is so I can keep people in the know-how of what’s been going on, but also as a way to keep posts happening here.

This project, for what it’s worth, is BIG! It’s certainly bigger and harder to do than anticipated, which is why it has not come out as of yet. But hopefully, hopefully indeed, it’ll be released by this weekend (the first episode anyways).

In terms of episode five for the regular podcast version? That is up to Sherman to decided when it’s released. We are reaching a point where more episodes have to be recorded, but some of our members have not been around to give us this opportunity. But we have a feeling that soon this will all be resolved.

Welp, there’s the progress report. Have a fun day everyone…

Updates! – “2017 Games Completed Podcast Special” Coming Soon, GBP: GeekBeerz Podcast Returning Soon-ish, Geeks In A Dungeon On A Mini Hiatus, “WHOSWWBM” Coming 2018, and Fantasy Gorilla Coming Out Mid To Late 2018…

Hey whoever reads this! If you have been keeping up with the site, you will have noticed that nothing has happened since Christmas. Well that’s because we took the seasonal few weeks off to spend time with family and other loved ones for both Christmas and New Years, basically vacation time for the guys here. But the other complication was life getting in the way! I had to begin a new semester of classes, Taylor had to get surgery #498, and Geoff and Shrew are very busy with their own jobs. But we’d figured that we should at least give an update on everything planned and allow whoever visits our site to see what to expect in the year 2018…

Podcast Special – “GBP: Our 2017 Completed Games Lists” – We have recorded a special episode regarding our games of 2017 we completed, as well as our thoughts on said games, we also joke about nonsense and explain how our lives have been. Expect this to be one of the first things to come out very soon, assuming Geoff edits and finishes this in a quickened pace, I will also be providing a video version of this special!

GBP: GeekBeerz Podcast” – Our main and returning podcast is assured to be heading your way soon, technically we have three to four episodes completed but there releases are uncertain since, again, we are living busy lives.

Geeks in a Dungeon cover two

“Geeks In A Dungeon” – We hope you have enjoyed the recently available episodes! But anyone who has been keeping up will notice the releases of these episodes (which was every late Sunday or so) has suddenly stopped. This was both due to the holidays as well as other inconveniences such as major editing time needed and not being able to recording newer episodes to keep the pace going. But we’re certain that Shrew is planning things out as we speak, and the adventures will continue in no time!

“We Hate Ourselves, So We Watch BAD Movies” – This is a new series we hopes to release as soon as possible, this is where we record our experience and distaste towards universally despised films. This is not really a “riff” so much as it is audio commentary with pointless conversations. Why do we do this? Well sometimes we just really hate ourselves that much! Expect this to come out hopefully soon!

Fantasy Gorilla

“The Fantasy Gorilla” – This spin-off will have to take some time to do, there is a particular planned segment in it that requires more reworking and planning. We hope to expect this to release by Summer of 2018.

Other than that, we hope to make more fun posts soon, including top lists and editorials of a number of things. Also expect future impressions on 2018 releases of games and movies such as Black Panther, Monster Hunter: World, and even the remastered Shadow of the Colossus. Keep up with the site and we’ll see you back here soon…
