GBHorror2017: How Skeletons Are “THE” Horror Icons

And yet another Halloween post has appeared to bless your day with spooks and creeps. Today we will be igniting appreciation for what can only be described as an icon of the horror community. This is not a particular character or creature as you might expect, or even an ancient fable of old. This icon goes way back and possibly before the conceived concept of “fear” ever terrorized us. It is something that is within literally all of us human beings: the skeleton. Now skeletons occasionally appear in the media such as film or video games, but I believe they don’t get the right amount of appreciation they deserve, even f the image itself is heavily integrated within our horror community. Here, we will give a few reasons to why the skeleton will forever be the most iconic symbolism of horror and horror concepts. Read the rest of this entry

GeekBeerz Horror 2017 Has Begun!

October has officially begun for the year of 2017, and we have something cooked up and made especially for this site! Halloween is one of the most enjoyable holidays filled with candy and costumes and the terror that comes with it. Every year we always find a way to celebrate it whether it’s by reading creepypastas or streaming horror games on Twitch.
This year will be something different. Every single day in October, at exactly 1:00 pm (mountain time), there will be a “GBHorror2017” post regarding Halloween or horror themes. These aren’t to be taken seriously but are rather fun topics of which will include top fives or tens, editorials, explanations and even some trivial things. I cannot promise if there will be other things such as streams of readings this year, there may be at least one from Geoff but it is uncertain. But we will be doing our best to release a post a day that all can enjoy.
One will be up today, and hopefully it is enjoyable. And be sure to check back everyday for another fun post!
Pokemon Sun and Moon: Secondary Impressions (finally)

JEEZ! This has been disgustingly delayed! Not just the secondary part of my impression of the Pokemon Moon game, but also since I’ve picked up the game itself. Unfortunately other things got in the way including college, family, friends, alternative commitments and even other/newer games. This also goes with the factoid that I usually only play handheld games when I’m traveling to far locations, leaving me with hours of valuable playing time for my handheld devices. Fortunately that was the case as of the past couple months. I believe I have played just enough more to properly do a part two to my three part impression for Pokemon Moon (the newest generation of games overall). I promise part three won’t be as prolonged.
You can read or re-read the first part of the Impression by clicking THIS!
Anyways, on to the Secondary Impression… Read the rest of this entry
