Yep, another GBHorror2017 post! Did this one catch you off guard? Don’t be surprised, Pokemon always seems to be on the mind no matter how hard I try to avoid it. So yeah anyone who has ever played a Pokemon game knows that certain kinds of these pocket monsters can be creepy. So instead of doing the usual type lists that I do, we’ll be looking at the Pokemon creepers that either have the most messed up backstories or are just creepy in nature. There may be some similar picks on this list to other top 6 Pokemon lists I’ve done but I’ll try to make it different enough. Read the rest of this entry

GBHorror2017: Top 6 Tombstones

tomba-padre-di-tom-riddle

Welcome to another GBHorror2017 post! This time we’ll be looking at the one thing that truly seals the deal of death, tombstones (also graveyards in general). Now for the most part tombstones can be beautiful works of art, they can even be interesting and very descriptive about the kind of person the very stone identifies. However like with most things, there are also tombstones which are either scary physically or live on through urban legends!

I’m especially excited about this one because half of the list are cemeteries that I’ve actually visited a few years back, and three of the images are actually photographs taken by me! You could argue that I’ve been preparing for this list all along!

Anyways, let’s learn about what kind of tombstones and graves are out there… Read the rest of this entry

In this list we’ll be looking at the top six found footage horrors that we think are absolutely worth a watch. This will be exclusively either theatrical released films or direct to DVD films, so nothing that was made or originated online like on Youtube or something (sorry Marble Hornet fans). GBHorror2017: How Skeletons Are “THE” Horror Icons

tmp731249039453978624

And yet another Halloween post has appeared to bless your day with spooks and creeps. Today we will be igniting appreciation for what can only be described as an icon of the horror community. This is not a particular character or creature as you might expect, or even an ancient fable of old. This icon goes way back and possibly before the conceived concept of “fear” ever terrorized us. It is something that is within literally all of us human beings: the skeleton. Now skeletons occasionally appear in the media such as film or video games, but I believe they don’t get the right amount of appreciation they deserve, even f the image itself is heavily integrated within our horror community. Here, we will give a few reasons to why the skeleton will forever be the most iconic symbolism of horror and horror concepts. Read the rest of this entry

Welcome back to another Halloween post! Now let’s get real here, spiders are quite bizarre. These eight legged creatures can arguably be determined as the original nightmare fuel of the personification of fear itself. Even if you’re not that terrified of these things, even your brave soul must admit that there is viable evidence here for why most are shaken up by the visual appearance of a spider. This list is our favorites in the spider world. Read the rest of this entry

GeekBeerz Horror 2017 Has Begun!

geekbeerzhorror 2017

October has officially begun for the year of 2017, and we have something cooked up and made especially for this site! Halloween is one of the most enjoyable holidays filled with candy and costumes and the terror that comes with it. Every year we always find a way to celebrate it whether it’s by reading creepypastas or streaming horror games on Twitch.

This year will be something different. Every single day in October, at exactly 1:00 pm (mountain time), there will be a “GBHorror2017” post regarding Halloween or horror themes. These aren’t to be taken seriously but are rather fun topics of which will include top fives or tens, editorials, explanations and even some trivial things. I cannot promise if there will be other things such as streams of readings this year, there may be at least one from Geoff but it is uncertain. But we will be doing our best to release a post a day that all can enjoy.

One will be up today, and hopefully it is enjoyable. And be sure to check back everyday for another fun post!
