Theme of the Month: Bloodborne

bloodborneWe are now doing this new thing where we pick a particular theme for the month, one that contributes to a game releasing in the month. This simply means that we’ll be changing the background image every now and then to keep our site from looking overly stale. For this month it’s safe to say that our theme has to be Bloodborne!

Bloodborne releases on March 24th exclusively to Playstation 4.

New “TGOD” Page / TagCast Episode One comes out Tomorrow Night or Monday Morning!

TOBY B PLAYS Fc4Yeah, we’re still doing the cheaply made Taylor Games Or Die episodes and now there is a page to keep track of them all, there’s even a new Episode. If you don’t mind two idiots playing games with poor-like video quality, then go ahead and watch them. They’re not so much an importance here as they are just something we secretly enjoy doing.

Also, Geoff plans to finally edit some things on Tagcast episode one and release it by tomorrow night. We will bug him to no end to edit and release the video but we cannot promise for sure if it actually will release tomorrow, but that was his promise to us so let’s hope it happens!

New Tagcast Page added / Episode One Comes Very Soon!

Tagcast headAs we get more into gear with this new year, I can finally confirm that our first episode for the new Tagcast series has officially been recorded!

I believe we now have a pretty good idea of what we want to accomplish with the podcast series because our recording was more than a success, it was actually a very engaging way to explode our frustrations in laughter and fun when the tough week nears the end.

Also, we are preparing the new series by adding a new Tagcast page to the site! There isn’t much there yet but it will be filled up with episodes in no time!

Just a little update, there will be more to come!

Tom’s Top 5 2014 Games

coverI did my top five movies of 2014 so what about the games? Well I’m going to do just that.

I was originally going to do just the games I managed to play during the year of 2014, not necessarily the games that came out in the year. However I found that there technically was five games that came out this year that I thoroughly enjoyed. I strongly believe that games are becoming more and more interesting nowadays than what they were in the 1990’s and older, better graphics and great stories aren’t just the only aspects to why I believe this. Perhaps it’s the capabilities of what we can do now than we could have with pixellated art in the past? I dunno. Whatever the case is, games are getting stronger by the year.

Now I must warn that this list might seem a little biased to some since most of my games are played on one specific console due to what consoles I do have, but consider that the games are possibly multi platform and not just exclusive to one, at least most are. And I’m including games I actually played and physically experienced and not just games I just saw an ad for or something.

Either way, here is my list of favorite 2014 games: Read the rest of this entry

Top 5 Characters that Need/Should/Have to Appear in the MCU

MCU #0Marvel has not only done really well these past few years, but they have also changed media forever. Many studios now including Warner Bros/DC, Fox and Sony are now on the shared-universe train and instead of two or three superhero films in a year, we are getting almost six or eight. A lot of superhero films might seem like too much for the average movie goer, but for superhero fans it is a dream come true.

Marvel has definitely unveiled numerous unique and special characters within their universe, along with many hints and teasers to future ones. However, despite other film companies owning the likes of Spider-man, Fantastic Four and X-Men, there are still a bunch of unique and interesting characters that Marvel more than likely owns, but have not introduced yet.

So here is our list of the top five characters, villainous or heroic, that we want to see appear somehow in some way within the marvel universe: (warning: current MCU film spoilers are to follow) Read the rest of this entry

TAGCAST Epsiode one might be coming very soon

It has been months since we concluded GBP, our old podcast series, for hopes of revamping a new and improved podcast series. Now officially titled TAGCAST.

So how has that been going? Well, we technically did already record a test episode to see how certain ideas would help. Needless to say quite a few things didn’t work out as hoped (or at least didn’t seem to keep interest). However we are more than ready to do this… soon.

At this point we are pretty sure that things are going to get done really soon. We apologize for the long delay of posts and everything. But when you consider the holiday, college finals, jobs and personal stuff it gets very crowded for us.

In short: expect something really soon!

Tom’s Top 5 Favorite Films of 2014

2014Well the new year is upon us. And despite being quiet since Halloween night you can expect some great things coming from us in this 2015 year!

So every year has their fair share of movies that come out, some are loved and praised while others are hated and attacked in the most malicious of ways. But everyone is different, we all have our own idea of what makes a movie truly remarkable. So that is why I am writing this post more personally. I cannot promise top 5’s from the other guys at GeekBeerz but either way here’s mine.

Now I honestly didn’t absolutely hate any movie in 2014. I personally thought that 2014 had a good array of films and not one made me bang my head on a wall until my skull broke (not even films like Robocop, Transformers: Age of Extinction or Ninja Turtles. While they weren’t the best I thought they still had some pretty cool things in their own right).

So out of all the films in 2014 I managed to narrow down the choices, here is my list: (warning: beware of potential film spoilers!) Read the rest of this entry

the Top 5 Godzilla 2014 Sequel Ideas!

The new Godzilla film has released, and with it the King of Monsters has returned! What’s better than the return of the king? How about confirmation of at least two sequels! Yep, Director Gareth Edwards will return to helm Godzilla 2 and possibly Godzilla 3 making for a new start of a trilogy!

While we sit here wondering when the next movie will come out, and if Toho will start making Kaiju films again, we have some fun sequel ideas that we think would be pretty cool if something similar to any of them actually happened: Read the rest of this entry
